The Public Intelligence Project serves as the central facilitator of a collaborative initiative between Public Intelligence and Military Medical Research, involving multiple federal agencies of the United States Government. This initiative underscores the importance of government oversight in enhancing public safety and promoting transparency in government operations.
Established in 2010 under the Obama administration by a Classified Congressional Committee in Washington, D.C., in coordination with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in McLean, Virginia, and the Department of War, the Public Intelligence Project functions as an Advanced Research Unit. Its mission is to advance public diplomacy and intelligence technologies that enhance public safety, promote government transparency, and support the development of sound public policy worldwide.
Operating across all U.S. territories and in partnership with allied foreign governments, the initiative engages directly with international government systems to foster cooperation and innovation. The project is overseen by the United States Department of War, specifically the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and is co-managed by the Department of Justice, with AUSA Catherine Connelly (Washington, D.C.) serving as the acting agency head to ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and DoW policy.
Federal EIN 39-3969509 has been assigned by the Internal Revenue Service for CIA Labs, enabling trade, business operations, and sub-agency identification within the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
